Purpose of collection and processing
These recordings are used for public relations purposes and are published on the company websites, social media channels, print media, and in the press to present our activities.
Legal basis for collection and processing
The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: public relations and presentation of our group of companies' activities.
It can be assumed that our legitimate interest in taking and using the photos does not disproportionately interfere with the rights and freedoms of natural persons. This is particularly the case since you are attending a public event, have been informed about the creation and use of photos at the event, and care has been taken both when taking photos and when publishing them to ensure that, from your point of view, there are no objections to photo and film recordings and processing for the purposes described.
However, if this is the case, please contact Mr. Stefan Hebing immediately here on site.
We also maintain an archive in which we store such recordings. This is permitted under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR because we have a legitimate interest in documenting our events.
If, for particularly compelling reasons, the rights and freedoms of a person depicted are violated, we will refrain from further processing by taking appropriate measures. It is not possible to make images unrecognizable in print media that have already been published. Deletion from the website or social media channels will be carried out within the scope of technical possibilities.
Internal recipients of personal data
During processing, the data will be passed on to the company's employees responsible for the organization, insofar as this is necessary to fulfill the purpose.
External recipients of personal data
Depending on requirements, personal data may also be passed on to third parties for processing. With regard to photographs and film recordings, this applies in particular to the regional and national press.
Transfer of photographs to a third country
There are no plans to transfer data to a third country.
Storage period
The storage period for recordings depends on the purpose of processing. We generally delete images published on the internet from our websites as required.
Individual recordings are archived internally under restricted processing in order to protect our copyright claims to the photos and films we have created.
Rights of data subjects
You have the right to information under Art. 15 GDPR, the right to rectification under Art. 16 GDPR, the right to erasure under Art. 17 GDPR, the right to restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR, the right to data portability under Art. 20 GDPR, and the right to object under Art. 21 GDPR.
The restrictions under Sections 34 and 35 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) apply to the right to information and erasure.
Any consent you may have given us to process your personal data can be effectively revoked by you at any time. The revocation takes effect from the time of its declaration. Processing that took place before the revocation is not affected.
If we base the processing of personal data on a balancing of interests, you can object to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR. The objection must be complied with in whole or in part if there are valid reasons that prevent further processing. Please inform us of these reasons when you object. We will then review the situation and either discontinue or adjust the processing or inform you of the compelling reasons for continuing the processing.
We take the protection of your data very seriously. To ensure that personal data is not disclosed to third parties, please send your request by email or post, clearly identifying yourself, to the contact details provided above.
In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR.
